There is always a warm
welcome for anyone who would like to join the choir at St. Mary's Church.
You do not even need a knowledge of music: tuition will be provided.
What does being in
St. Mary's choir involve?

Rehearsing on Friday
evenings from 7.15pm to 8.30pm

Singing at the
9.30am service on Sundays

Singing at other
occasional services, weddings etc
Who sings in St.
Mary's choir?

Boys, girls, ladies
and men make up a choir of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices

Young singers may
begin in the Jubilate
choir
What does the choir
sing?

A range of music
from sixteenth century plainchant to some of the most recently
composed hymns

Psalms, anthems,
Taize, modern worship songs etc
