Anglican Diocese of Mpumalanga
The
Diocese of Mpumalanga was founded in 2004. It is part of the Province of
Southern Africa and is fully part of Anglican Communion.
St
Mary's church in Maulden has had links with Mpumalanga since 2007, initially
through the former Diocesan Bishop Les Walker and his wife Marion. In 2008,
Richard Windslade, Rector at St Mary's, spent part of his sabbatical living and
working in the Mpumalanga Diocese. Prior to this, Bishop Les and Marion stayed
in Maulden after the 2008 Lambeth Conference.
Sadly,
Bishop Les died in office in 2009. Nevertheless, the links continue: St Mary's
is in fellowship with Mpumalanga and part of our outreach is to direct funds and
resources there to give real and practical assistance to the churches and the
Christians in that Diocese.

Vision Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
pour the power of your Holy Spirit upon the people of Mpumalanga, both
clergy and laity, that they may be adequately equipped and empowered for
effective ministry and mission. We ask this through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen
